Second Sunday in Ordinary Time - January 19, 2025
Today's readings narrate a number of awesome events. Ancient Jerusalem has been restored to prominence, early Christians are healing others and speaking in tongues, Jesus changes water into wine. All of these things are attributable to God: God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Let us not forget that we too have the Spirit within us and have the power to awe others by what we do.

Thank you to Steve Winka and Charlie Massie for clearing the parking lot and the sidewalks. Also thank you to everyone who helped take down the Christmas decorations.
A visiting priest will hopefully be scheduled for our parish while Fr. Oliver is gone, and we will try to keep everyone informed as soon as possible in the event St. Barbara does not have a Mass. Check the St. Barbara Facebook page for updates. The St. Charles Facebook also does a good job keeping everyone informed on the Mass schedules at the three parishes and other area events. You can always call/text Christy if you aren't sure if there is Mass. Thank you.
If you would like to schedule a Mass Intention for a Sunday or Wednesday (No Wednesday morning Mass beginning Jan. 1 - mid February) at St. Barbara, please put an envelope in the basket with the date you want and the suggested $10 donation for Mass, or you may call Christy at 279-1322 or text/call 435-7196,
